Our guesthouse, village house Carku, is situated in Theth,
a beautiful area that perfectly shows how man has succeeded in striking a balance with
nature despite harsh living conditions.
Village House Carku was the first one to open it's to visitors during the late
nineties when the first community tourism projects were set off. Our guesthouse became a meeting place where other highlanders
gain experience and vision. With our example and by showing our
effort we are able to demonstrate to the community the immense potential
they
have to offer. A visit at Carku village house is a true workshop
on sustainable tourism.
During your stay here Nona Age will recount interesting stories of her
children, now grown men and women, to enable you to gain a better understanding
of the role of our family in the local community.
Our family-run village house, made of hard stone and thick planks of healthy smelling pinewood, is a warm and pleasant home for you to stay. We are situated in Theth, a village surrounded by mountains and beautiful diverse landscape, perfect for hiking and other outdoor activities.
Village House Carku is close to the Sheep's Pass and Thore Pass. The flow of guests, visitors, and ‘heralds' that come and go during busy summer days let you experience the local social traditions.
We are looking foreward to welcoming you to our house and showing you the beautiful nature and the local culture. Feel free to take a virtual tour with our photo gallery. It is considerate to book in advance so that we have time to prepare everything with your comfort in mind!
